Producing A Micro-Budget Feature Film: From Concept to Distribution

At our July meeting, filmmaker and entrepreneur, Noam Kroll will use his previous two feature films as a case study for creating original feature film content on a budget, and using innovative marketing strategies to drive a profit. His business model will be demonstrated through a variety of real world examples of films produced for as little as a few thousand dollars, that have successfully generated revenue through several key channels. Actionable steps are outlined in each phase, from concept development to final delivery, providing a blueprint for making a financially viable indie feature.

About Noam:

Noam Kroll is a narrative filmmaker & creative entrepreneur based in Los Angeles. He’s the owner of Creative Rebellion, which has produced content for brands like Google, NBC / Universal, and Warner Bros Technology, among many others. Over the past decade his personal filmmaking blog (noamkroll.com) has grown into a burgeoning resource for DIY creatives, spawning a popular podcast (Show, Don’t Tell) and newsletter (micro-budget weekly), which collectively reach millions of filmmakers each year. Currently, he is in development for his third feature film which is slated to shoot this summer.
