We are lucky enough to have some AI early adopters joining us to delve into how we move forward into this new world and what we should be aware of and understand. We’ll be exploring the worlds of AI in image/video generation, for lyrics and music generation, and looking at the tools to use to start this adventure. They will also discuss the parameters for when using these tools will be appropriate and when it would be worth finding other solutions.
We’ll be led on this journey by marketing consultant Laura Pursley and we’ll be picking the brains of Producer, Author, and VFX Artist Jeff Foster and Author, Interactive Executive Producer, and Prompt Engineering cypher Evo Heyning. Bring your questions and a place to take notes because we’ll be discussing where Generative AI can fit into your life and career at the next LAPPG!

Laura has led camera launches for Sony and Panavision, enterprise campaigns for Adobe and Frame.io, and was instrumental in the expansion of post house Light Iron from its flagship facility in Hollywood to six locations around the country. Laura frequently volunteers as a career mentor, and is an expert grower of heirloom tomatoes.

Jeff Foster is an accomplished professional with 30+ years of experience in media production. Based in Northern California, he excels as an award-winning producer, published author, videographer/photographer, animator/editor, trainer, and aerial cinematographer. Jeff’s expertise spans traditional and digital images, video production, illustration, animation, motion graphics, and special effects. He is currently finalizing VFX work for an upcoming feature film. As a respected writer for ProVideo Coalition, he focuses on reviewing video and photo gear, exploring new technologies, and AI tools for imaging and content creation. Jeff currently serves as Senior Manager/Producer of Video & Imaging Services at Bio-Rad Laboratories in the Bay Area.

Evo Heyning has been creating immersive experiences that bridge real and virtual worlds for more than 20 years and specializes in a unique process of world creation she has designed into a game of Realitycraft. Realitycraft exists today as a design lab and AI art gallery in Oakland, CA with creative and educational services provided worldwide. As a creator, interactive showrunner and production strategist Evo aligns a wide variety of media projects ranging from the Affordable Care Act public campaign to producing more than 500 hours of livestreaming and virtual events during the pandemic including conferences and global talks. Her work focuses on metaverse media and the creative potential of interactive, participatory, volumetric and virtual production to change our shared experiences.
