November’s LAPPG meeting featured our first virtual Blackmagic Design Night! We were excited to have Tor Johansen back to show us the new URSA Mini Pro 12K! And what a beauty! The footage Tor was able to show us was truly breathtaking. It was a real treat for all attendees. And speaking of treats, we were super lucky that the stars aligned and we are able to host one of the first demos of DaVinci Resolve 17 with Mary Plummer who expertly took us through many of the new features. Some of the feature she showed were previewing of effects and transitions on your own footage, the new HDR palette, Color Warper, Magic Mask in the Color Page and Flex Bus, double stacked meters, playback, render and generate Dolby Atmos masters in Fairlight and the new Shapes category inside Fusion.
