This will be an informal talk specifically for entertainment professionals to educate, answer questions and give some high level guidance.

About our presenters:

After years in entertainment as Co-Executive Producer of America’s Funniest Videos and TV news, Barbara found her true calling in finance. She is passionate about advising individuals and business owners, in areas of comprehensive financial planning and investing.
Amber Romo, Financial Advisor in Downtown LA moved from Las Vegas to Los Angeles to follow her career in entertainment. Editor Lawrence Jordan, ACE and Visual Effects Editor Richard Sanchez will discuss the “real-world” realities of what it’s like to work on the front lines on some of today’s most demanding feature films and television projects.

Jordan, a 38- year veteran editor will talk about his experiences in Hollywood and what it takes for long term survival in the competitive world of studio and network post production. He’ll also talk about the unique editorial challenges of his most recent Netflix feature film “Sextuplets,” a visual effects comedy culled from almost 200 hours of dailies.

Sanchez will shed a light on his experiences as an assistant editor and visual effects editor on some of today’s highest profile features and television shows including Robin Hood, Catch 22, Suicide Squad and his current project, Bill & Ted Face The Music.

Finally, Lawrence and Richard will give you a look into their professional level training course, Master The Workflow: Feature Film Assistant Editor Immersion 1.0.

With a desire to train the next generation of editorial professionals, the duo created the online course which has now been taken by almost 500 students in over 40 countries around the world.
