With St. Patrick’s Day around the corner we celebrated with shamrocks and refreshments at our March 14th meeting. High Energy was the over arching feeling for the evening as members new and old gathered in Roth Hall to explore the current media landscape. First to present was Head of Post Production & Operations for 3d Paint/FX, Shelley Andagan who explored Immersive Technology. Shelley gave solid and specific information on the production and post side of the equation for VR projects and answered lots of questions from our curious members. During our networking break members had a chance to visit with LaCie’s Steve Hitchcock where he showcased LaCie’s brand new revolutionary mobile storage device. The evenings 2nd presentation was from writer, director and juggler Chris Smith who took us through his experience creating the successful YouTube Channel Chris & Jack. Chris gave and entertaining presentation full of valuable tips and capped the night off by juggling three LaCie Rugged Hard Drives! After he finished and we could all breath again, we ended with our $3.5K giveaway thanks to our wonderful partners.
