Adobe After Effects CS5 Classroom in a Book, like all the other books in the Classroom in a Book series, is a great tool for learning Adobe After Effects. In fact, the Classroom in a Book series from Adobe Press seems to be the best series of books for learning any Adobe Software.
The book is divided into 14 lessons that are designed to be worked through in a step-by-step method, where each lesson builds upon the last. A DVD is included that contains all the project files you’ll need to work along, so everything you need is packaged together, and you can get started immediately. The DVD also includes partially completed files, so you can jump in at any lesson, even if you haven’t completed the previous lessons.
The lessons begin with an overview of the Adobe After Effects CS5 workflow and then move on to cover Animation, Text and Titles, Layers, Masks, Rotoscoping, Color Correction, and even 3D objects. The book doesn’t cover every single feature of After Effects CS5, but after completing the lessons, you’ll have made some interesting projects and be able to learn anything extra from the software’s help file.
This is definitely the book for you if you need to learn After Effects for compositing, animation, titles, or color correction.
