Loudness and Adjustment with Minnetonka Audio Software & Creating Your Career Breakthrough
This meeting was filled with a lively discussion and debate about loudness metering and an interactive presentation involve the entire audience.
First up we had a presentation on Loudness Measurement and Adjustment with Minnetonka Audio Software‘s
Eric Jorde and Jim Weber. Eric gave us a brief introduction to the company which has been providing encoding, authoring, and processing tools for audio professionals for over 25 years. Then Jim shared their newest product line, AudioTools Server. ATS is a comprehensive file-based audio workflow automation and management toolset for facility-wide processing, transcoding, and QC of multichannel audio. ATS’s functionality includes container format unwrap and rewrap, Dolby E and Dolby Digital processing, Dolby E meta data verification and correction, and of course, full standards-compliant loudness measurement and adjustment.
We also had an incredibly valuable Mini-Workshop with Filmmaker and Strategy Coach Shawn Tolleson on “Creating Your Career Breakthrough.” LAPPG member Jeffrey Stansfield and new member Karol Urban volunteered to share their career goals with the group and have Shawn of Strategy Coaching walk them through a series of exercises. Then attendees broke up into pairs and participated in some exercises designed to help us identify our next career breakthrough as well as ways to motivate us into action.
Whether you were a freelancer a staffer and an entrepreneur all attendees left this evening with a strong sense of where they wanted to head.
